Landmannalaugar looks like a word - and place - from another world

On our second day in Iceland in 2018 we ventured back into the highlands. This time we were going to Landmannalaugar, a thermal region north of the Katla volcano. It’s a place famous for its trails, hot springs and colorful mountains. It’s also not that hard to get to, with decent roads when compared to some other locations in the highlands.
